Obituary

Harley W. Friehauf, 89, life resident of the Brush community, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. He was born January 31, 1928, in Brush to William & Mollie Friehauf.

Harley graduated from Brush High School in 1946. On February 1, 1948, he married Helen Kemp in Brush. Together, they raised their family and farmed northeast of Brush.

Harley loved to farm. His favorite past time was visiting with family, friends and neighbors. He was a member of the Immanuel Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 70 years, Helen; 2 sons, Duane of Brush and Zeke (Connie) of Westminster, CO; 1 sister, Mary Lou Petersen of Moorcroft, WY; 6 grandchildren, Alyssa (Ronnie), Kyle (Amanda), Craig, Matt (Cassandra), April (Matt), and Amanda (Mike); and 12 great grandchildren, Megan, Emily, Mya, Marcus, Mikayla, Evie, Charlotte, Ivory, McKenzie, Reagan, Avery and Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter – in – law, Joyce Friehauf.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery Columbarium. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Immanuel Congregational Church or to Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.
