Obituary

Harold (Jim) Hinde age 92 passed away at his home February 24, 2020 in Brush,  Colorado. He is survived by his wife, Dottie Hinde, his sons, Lon and Brian Hinde, daughters, Vicki Kallman and Brenda Oakley, 9 grand children and 10 great-grand children. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Dick) Hinde of Haxtun, CO.

Born on March 6, 1927 in Haxtun, CO to the late Harold and Katherine Hinde. He attended schools in Dailey. As a WWII veteran, he served 2 years in the Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne.

In 1949, he enlisted into the US Air Force at Lowry AFB in Denver. He met and married Dottie on October 9, 1949. They spent the next 25 years raising their family and living all over the world.

After 26 1/2 years in the service on July 1, 1973, he retired as a SMSgt. Shortly after, they moved to Colorado Springs. They spent the next 35 years traveling all over the US, including Alaska, Canada, and Mexico with their friends and the Winnebago International Travelers club.

For health reasons, in March 2019, they moved to assisted living in Brush, CO. In October 2019, they celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends.

Following Jim's wishes, there will not be a funeral.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled later for this summer.
