Harold Edward "Ed" Peed, 79, former Morgan & Washington County resident, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016, at the Brookdale Care Center in Greenwood Village, CO. He was born October 28, 1936, in Fort Morgan, to Harold M. & Mabel G. Peed.
Following graduation from Brush High School in 1954, Ed attended the Colorado State College of Education for four years in Greeley. In 1959 he joined the US Army National Guard. On July 2, 1961, Ed married Mildred "Mid" Blake in Brush. While living in Akron, Ed was a member of the Foursquare Church and operated the Eastern Slope Paint Company until 1978.
In 1978, the Peed family moved to the Denver area where they owned & operated the Eastern Slope Distributing, a construction supply business for 20 years until selling the business and retiring in 1997. Ed & Mid were members of the Denver First Church of the Nazarene.
Ed loved his motor home and going everywhere in it. He enjoyed cruises, extended traveling across the country visiting relatives along the way, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Mid, of Denver; 2 children, Daphne Kay (Ted) Preuss of Chicago, IL and Jason Bradley (Michelle Li) Peed of Parker, CO; and 2 grandchildren, Lexi & Reis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 10:00 AM at the Denver First Church of the Nazarene, 3800 E. Hampden Avenue, Englewood, CO, in the Diehl Chapel. Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 PM. The Heer Mortuaries & Crematory are entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Denver First Church of the Nazarene c/o Heer Mortuary.
