Harold Eugene Rasmussen, 81, longtime area resident, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Harold was born June 1, 1934 in Sterling, Colorado to Vernon and Vera (Grooms) Rasmussen. He farmed in northeast Colorado for most of his life. He married Miriam Thiel on June 1, 1997 at Lake Taho, Nevada. Harold enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage and Pitch, and playing dominos. He loved visiting family around the state. Survivors include his wife Miriam of Fort Morgan, one sister, Patricia Lea Binger (Jerry) of Fort Morgan, his niece, Rhonda McAward (Perry) of Littleton, his nephew, Jerry William Binger II (Kathy) of Kenner, Louisiana, one great niece, Carrie Rae Edwards of Greeley, and great nephews, Brandon William Binger, and Blake Lee Binger of Kenner, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Carillo and his parents. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan.
