HAROLD RUHL, 84, lifelong area resident, died Thursday morning, February 28, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Greeley. He was born February 27, 1924 in Fort Morgan to David & Mary Ruhl. Mr. farmed for the majority of his life but he was also a seismic engineer. He was a member of the Wiggins Community Church where he had also served on the church board. Mr. Ruhl also served as Wiggins Police Commissioner for 12 years. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors, watching "Friday Night Fights", and playing his harmonica. He was the resident Santa Clause for the Wiggins community for 21 years. Mr. Ruhl is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Loose of Wiggins and Alma Jean Pedotto of Greeley; one son, William Ruhl of Wiggins; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant son, David Ruhl; 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2008 from 5 – 8 PM at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 4th at 10:00 AM at the Wiggins Community Church. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made to the Wiggins Community Church. The Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of arrangements.
