Harold Spade, 82, former longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014, at the inpatient hospice unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born March 17, 1932, near Wiggins. Harold served in the US Army from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954. After his military service Harold attended and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. He later owned and operated H. S. Spade Trucking Company. After retiring, he lived in California for several years. Harold was an avid golfer. When living in Brush, he was a member of the American Legion Sagebrush Post, Elks Lodge #1143, and was a charter member of Bunker Hill Country Club. Survivors include his Mother, Hannah Lanphear of Brush; 2 sons, John of Brush and A. J. of San Diego, CA; 2 grandchildren, Austin Spade of San Jose, CA and Kali Jordan Spade of Ripon, CA. The family would also like to express appreciation to their family care-giver, Rose Spradlin. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer. The service will conclude at the church. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with cremation arrangements.
