Obituary

Harold Temple, 80, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at his home near Fort Morgan. He was born January 13, 1930, in Fort Morgan, to Reinhard & Mollie Temple. Harold married Joyce Christensen on August 5, 1951, in Brush. The Temple's farmed for several years near Hillrose. They later moved to Fort Morgan and Harold worked in the maintenance department of the RE-3 school district. Harold loved to go to the Colorado Rocky Mountains to camp and fish. He enjoyed having coffee with friends, collecting coins for his grandchildren, and spending time with his family. He was honored as an honorary member of the Fort Morgan Future Farmers of America. He was a former chief of the Hillrose Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his 6 children, Sandra (Mike) Cook, Ken (Karen) Temple, Krista (Kent) Trimbach, and Patty (Greg) Foiles all of Brush; Keith Temple and David (Shirley) Temple of Fort Morgan; 1 brother, Harry Temple and 2 sisters, Evelyn Loose and Alma Schocke all of Fort Morgan; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, his parents, and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Temple. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer Street, in Brush. The service will conclude at the church. Private inurnment will be later at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Harold Temple Memorial Fund c/o Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 222 Cameron Street in Brush.
