Harry Richard "Dick" Leach, 76, former Brush resident, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, at his home in Evans, CO. Dick was born November 22, 1938, in Scottsbluff, NE, to Calvin & Mary Jayne Leach. Dick graduated from Brush High School in 1957. After attending college for a year, Dick joined the US Navy. He was honorably discharged in 1965. He then attended watchmaker/jeweler school. He later came back to join his father at the Leach Jewelry Store in Brush. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in business marketing in 1974. Dick later moved to Greeley and continued in the watchmaking/jewelry business. When he semi-retired he went to work for Garnsey Wheeler Dealership in Greeley. Dick enjoyed fishing and "looking at dirt". He will be remembered most for his sense of humor and his gentle spirit. Survivors include his wife, Carol, of Evans, CO; six children, Dana (John) Sherman of Brush, Kara (Ron) Palfy of Commerce City, CO, Todd (Robin) Leach of Monument, CO, Kimberly (Raulie) Soto of San Lorenzo, CA, Kelli (Doug) Roderick of Greeley, and Rick (Renee) Waggoner of Loveland, CO; one sister, Nancy (Duane) Core of Craig, CO; 20 grandchildren, Justin, Jake, Jesse, Brooklyn, Melissa, Jessica, Ivy, Tyler, Trace, Michael, Brent, Kayla, Lynsi, Chelsi, Shelbi, Nikki, Maddi, Ricky Jr., Megan, and Gracie; and 5 great grandchildren; a niece, Kirsten and great niece Bailey and many cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 24, at the Rankin Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM. Inurnment with military honors by the US Navy will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be made to the Brush Masonic Lodge #123.
