Harry Weiss, 94, long time Morgan County resident, passed away Sunday evening, September 8, 2013, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born June 6, 1919, in Keota, CO, to John & Mary Weiss. On August 22, 1944, Harry married Neda Curtis in Greeley. The Weiss family moved south of Brush in 1947. Harry loved ranching and raised Angus Cattle. He dedicated his life to his ranching profession. He enjoyed visiting and socializing with his neighbors. Survivors include his children, Sharon Weiss of Brush, Doris Scofield and her husband, Rick, of Evans, CO; Marlene Chenoweth and her husband, Earl, of Colony, WY; Janet Ferguson of Dewey, AZ; and Leonard Weiss and his wife, Sonja, of Brush; 2 sisters, Bertha Ostermiller of Brush and Elsie Clark of Fort Morgan; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife; 3 brothers, Alex, Walter, and Carl; 2 sisters, Pauline and Rosie, and his parents. A funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Chapel on Friday from 5 - 7 PM.
