Hazel Roxine Bengtson, 93, of Loveland formerly of Fort Morgan, CO was born on July 10, 1915 in Colorado Springs to Henry Howard and Goldie (Pickens) Quillen and she went home with Jesus on May 13, 2009 at North Shore Rehab in Loveland. Hazel came to Loveland in 2002 to live with her daughter, but lived most of her life in Fort Morgan where her parents owned and operated Morgan Laundry and Cleaners. She attended Fort Morgan schools and graduated from Fort Morgan High School. Throughout her adult years she worked as a bookkeeper first at her father's laundry then later for her and her husband's laundries. She was married to John A. Woolley from 1932 to 1946 and lived for short periods in Iowa and Nebraska. Hazel married David E. Bengtson on June 29, 1950. They moved to Wray, CO where the owned and operated Bing's Laundry. They returned to Fort Morgan in 1955 when her parents retired and she and David bought the laundry and ran it as Bing's Laundry and Cleaners. Over the years Hazel was involved in several different organizations—the Business and Professional Women's Assoc., TTT and Eastern Star in which she served in the office of Worthy Matron. She was a member of First Christian Church. Hazel is survived by her daughter Jan (Ron Williams) of Loveland, her son Kerry (Laura) Bengtson of Scottsdale, AZ; seven grandchildren: Won Gil Woolley of NY, NY, Joshua Woolley of San Francisco, CA, Michele (Don) Evans of Doyle, CA, Corey (Sharmini) Gingras of Fort Collins, Jason Bengtson of Seattle, WA, Nick Bengtson of Superior, CO, and Tyler (Michelle) Bengtson of San Jose, CA; six great-granddaughters: Sherry, Heather and Brittany Edmondson, Katie Hackbarth, Coral Evans and Sarah Gingras; one great-great-granddaughter Kaylee Montalvo; and several nieces and nephews. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband David Bengtson, her son Jon Woolley, her brothers and her parents. Services for Hazel are on Wed., May 20, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Heer and Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan, CO. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
