Hazel Leona Weimer, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan.  Hazel was born November 16, 1930 in Fort Morgan to George and Laura Thompson.

Hazel married, Albert "Abe" Weimer on March 18, 1950 in Fort Morgan. She was a longtime member of the V.F.W Post 2551 Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 19 Auxiliary in Fort Morgan. Hazel loved spending time with her family, singing to her grand-babies, and feeding anyone that walked through the door.

Survivors include her four children, Robert (Linda) Weimer of Fort Collins, Linda (Dennis) Nueburger of Loveland, Karen (Bill) Baker of Peabody, MA, and Cathy (Kevin) Lindell of Fort Morgan; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Shirley Yenne of Brush.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, a great-grandson, her parents, and nine siblings.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on December 19, 2018 at Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan. At the family's request, memorials may be made to The Bee Hive Assisted Living in Fort Morgan or to the Alzheimer's Association.
