Long time Fort Morgan resident, Helen Bath, 92, passed away on April 21, 2017.  She was born on April 28, 1924 to Jacob Bath Senior and Marie Grau Bath, immigrants from Frank, Russia in 1902.

Raised on her parent's farm south of town, Helen loved the beautiful rural settings around Fort Morgan.  A trip to a family farm was a treasured experience for her, especially during Spring planting and Fall harvest. Parked at the edge of a field, she enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of fresh air and harvested crops.

Being the second youngest sibling, she was the one who took her nieces and nephews to the drive- in movies, the root beer stand and the local football games.  She always remembered birthdays and other special events in their lives; and especially enjoyed visits and large family gatherings.

She spent several years living and working in Southern California before returning to Fort Morgan. Professionally, Helen worked over 20 years in the business office of the Fort Morgan Community Hospital .

She loved CU, the Broncos, and the Mustangs. She was a lifelong member of Christ Congregational Church, and a volunteer for the local Republican Party. Her priorities remained her faith and family.

A graveside memorial will be held at a later date.  Heer Mortuaries and Crematory is entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
