Helen M. Crawley, 86, longtime Brush area resident, passed away at St. Anthony North Hospital on Monday, December 12, 2022, following a short illness.

Helen was born June 25, 1936, in Griswold, Iowa to Edward and Madge Haworth. Her family moved to Colorado when she was a teenager.

On June 2, 1953, Helen married the love of her life, Eugene Crawley in Fort Morgan, CO.  Helen and her husband farmed and ranched in Woodrow, Colorado. After retiring from farming and ranching, the Crawley family lived in Brush where they owned & operated the Trav-O-Tel Motel and Trailer Park and operated the    G & H Coin Shop until retiring in 2014.

Helen enjoyed spending time with family, playing with her dog, and hobbies such as her flowers, watching the Denver Broncos, playing cards, cooking and experimenting with recipes.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet (Paul) Brinkman of Brush.  She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Crawley, sister Romona Reed, and her parents.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan.  Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.  Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
