Helen Lebsock passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the Valley View Villa Care Center at the age of 91.

She was born February 22, 1927 in WaKeeney, Kansas to Frederick and Magdalina Dietz. In 1937 her family moved to Fort Morgan. On May 1, 1945, exactly 73 years before she passed away, Helen married Albert Lebsock before he left to serve our country. Albert and Helen lived on a farm south of Fort Morgan, farming and dairying until they moved into town in 1958. Together they raised four children, Sharon, Carol, Shirley and Alan.

Helen was a lifelong member of the Christ Congregational Church. She was a member of the Mary Martha Circle for many years and enjoyed making noodles with the church ladies. She was a wonderful cook who taught her children and grandchildren how to prepare the traditional German recipes of cabbage pockets, butterballs, breads, and German dumplings, which are all family favorites.

Helen thoroughly enjoyed following various sports. Helen and Albert traveled to watch many baseball games, when son Alan, and several nephews were playing, and later followed the activities of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As her health prevented her from attending in person, she became devoted to listening to local radio broadcasts to keep up with the Mustangs.

Helen loved her family and took great joy in partaking of all family activities, as well as, enjoying lunch, coffee and conversation with her friends and neighbors.

Helen is survived by her children; Sharon (Bob) Chilson of Fort Morgan, Carol (Chris) Snydal of Boulder, Shirley Lebsock of San Jacito, California and Alan (Dianne) Lebsock of Missouri City, Texas, one brother; Herman Dietz of West Jordan, Utah; nine grandchildren; Rob (Brandi) Chilson, Trish (Brad) Kembel, Lori (Brad) Brashears, Jennifer (Philip) McReynolds, Neil (Kelly) Lebsock, Hayley (Josh) Martinez, Christen Snydal, Sara and Ian Young; 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert, sisters, Freda Chilcote, and Marty Wilson, brothers; Ferdinand, Frederick and Louis Deitz, and one great grandson.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the church
