Obituary

Helen K. Reiber, 84, former Fort Morgan resident, died at her home in Commerce City on Monday, June 15, 2015. Helen was born in Fort Morgan on October 16, 1930 to Jacob & Kathrine (Eckardt) Hoffman. She grew up on a farm in Fort Morgan. She married Henry H. Reiber on December 12, 1948 in Fort Morgan and they moved to the Denver area in 1954. Helen enjoyed drawing, camping and fishing, bowling, and doing ceramics. She was an avid sports fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Helen is survived by her children, Henry F. Reiber, Kathleen Cordova, Gary Reiber (Addie), and Marilyn Reiber, all of Commerce City; her siblings, Edna Kalouse of Brush, Leroy Hoffman (Jeanette) of Longmont, and Jerold (Alice) Hoffman of Parker; her brother-in-law, Gary Moses of Hudson, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hoffman of Denver and Esther Brown of Fort Morgan, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous other "grand" and "great grandchildren", and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, her husband, and her parents. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 19th at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Visitation will be prior to the funeral, beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
