Helen Lorraine (Heidenreich) was born on September 26, 1927, on the family farm in Gill, Colorado to Alex and Amelia Heidenreich. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Arbor in Brush on December 11, 2024.
Helen graduated from Gill High School in 1945. She married her high school sweetheart Clyde Reichert on September 4, 1948 in Greeley. They farmed in the Gill area until 1965 when they moved to Fort Morgan continuing to farm. In 1969 they moved into town. Helen worked at Safeway and Farmer's State Bank. She was also an election judge and a volunteer at the hospital.
She enjoyed cooking and traveling in their camping trailer to their favorite fishing area at Red Feather. Her favorite times were the family campout in the mountains with all the family and their campers. She also enjoyed gardening and had a beautiful rose garden
Helen is survived by three daughters, Lynn (Gary) Pickering of Fort Morgan, Dee (Gary) Duke of Sherman, Texas, and Kim (Brian) Pabst of Hillrose. Clyde and Helen have 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church. Interment following the service at Memory Gardens, Fort Morgan. There will be a reception at the church following interment.
Memorial gifts may be given to the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church.
