Henry Dones, 93, passed away early Monday, December 6, 2010, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born November 19, 1917, in Denver, to Peter & Katherine Dones. Henry has lived in Washington & Morgan Counties most all his life. On June 1, 1941, Henry married Eleanor Stumpf in Chappell, NE. Prior to retirement, the Dones family farmed near Hillrose. He was a member of the Immanuel Congregational Church in Brush. Henry enjoyed collecting toy tractors and making farm implement toys. Survivors include his children, Larry Dones of Napa, CA, Myrna Johnson of Eagle River, Alaska, and Ron Dones of Brush; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great – great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, 9 brothers & sisters, and his parents. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 9, 2010, at 10:30 AM the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 8, 2010, from 7 – 8:30 PM at the Heer & Dahl Chapel in Brush. Friends who wish may memorial gifts to the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.
