Obituary

Henry Rodarte, 70, Long time Ft. Morgan resident, died Tuesday evening at the Valley View Villa in Ft. Morgan. He was born January 23, 1938 in Rodarte, New Mexico to Rogelio and Lusita Rodarte. He married Carmelita "Nancy" Trujillo on April 11, 1959 in Ft. Morgan. Henry was a custodian for the RE-3 School District for 30 years, he worked at the Sherman and Pioneer Schools. He enjoyed his work and being involved with the kids. He was a member of the Saint Helena Catholic Church. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends by singing and playing the guitar. He was a recreational softball coach and player, he also was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan. He is survived by his wife Nancy, and two son Bernie Rodarte and Ernie Rodarte all of Ft. Morgan, two sisters Mary Sanchez of Kearns, Utah, and Rosina Hernandez of Ft. Morgan, and two brothers Willie Rodarte of Ft. Morgan, and Gilbert Rodarte of Pueblo. He was preceded in death by one sister Laura Montez and his parents. A Rosary Vigil will be held on Thursday at 7:00 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at Saint Helena Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in Henry's name to the children's programs at the Sherman or Pioneer Schools, or to the Alzheimer's Association, Care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary 225 E. Platte Ave. Ft. Morgan, Co 80701.
