Herman E. Hoffman, 82, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at his home in Denver. He was born March 9, 1926 in Fort Morgan to Jacob and Katherine (Eckhardt) Hoffman. He married Dorothy Geist on January 16, 1949 in Fort Morgan. Hoffman attended the Heritage Community Church in Arvada. Herman was a member of the while he worked and the Retired Teamsters after his retirement. Spending time with his family was important to him and he would do anything for them. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Hoffman of Denver, two sons, Darrell H. Hoffman of Wheatridge and Roger E. Hoffman of Aurora, one daughter, Ronda K. Bowen of Lochbuie, two brothers, Leroy Hoffman of Longmont and Jerry Hoffman of Parker, two sisters, Helen Reiber of Commerce City and Edna Kalous of Brush, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raymond and Jim Hoffman, four sisters, Evelyn Winder, Rachel Hoffman, Leona Miller and Beverly Moses. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 from 10 until 5 at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
