The services celebrating the life and accomplishments of Herman Schulte Sr., age 73, of Orchard will be held at Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 17th, 2014 under the direction of Pastor JD Wyatt. Herman passed away Sunday morning, October 12 in his home. He is survived by his wife Judy, 4 children; Herman and wife Nancy, Julie and husband Rob Kennedy, Keith and wife Diane, Joseph and wife Alicia, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters; Annie Marie Moser, Louise and Robert Johnson, Lucy and Nick Hammerlun, Margaret and Steve Reiser, 3 brothers; Joseph and Juanita Schulte, Leo and Sherry Schulte, and Jerome and Roberta Schulte. Herman was born to Joseph and Catherine (Engelhaupt) Schulte on July 2, 1941. He grew up in Baker, Nebraska and married Judy Baker on February 16,1965. They have lived in Morgan County for the last 30 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; George and John Schulte. Herman was a son and brother. He was a husband, a father, an uncle, and a grandfather many times over. He was a Christian, a Veteran, and carpenter. He was a great man with more than capable hands and a greater heart. His passions were his family and carpentry. He was loved and will be missed, but he is home now with his heavenly father. There were farewells, but no goodbyes. He has gone home. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Psalm 91
