HOPE M. RODARTE, 71, died Monday, September 2, 2013 at her home in Fort Morgan after a short illness. She was born February 17, 1942 in Erie, CO to Frank & Virginia Hernandez. She graduated from Greeley Central High School and then attended MCC and UNC. She obtained degrees in Early Childhood Development, Occupational Therapy, and Geriatrics. Hope was an active member of Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan where she was also active in the Altar & Rosary Society, the Franciscans of the Third Order and very dedicated to her catholic faith. She enjoyed reading, gardening, baking pies and traveling. She enjoyed school and found education very important. Hope especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and frequent visits with her father at Valley View. She is survived by her sons, Bert Rodarte of Fort Morgan, Randal Rodarte of Chandler, AZ, and Christopher Rodarte of Mitchell, NE; her daughter, Leslie Hatch of Taylorsville, UT; her father, Frank Hernandez of Fort Morgan; her brother, Edward Hernandez and his wife, Rosina of Fort Morgan; her sisters, Stella Lujan and her husband, Gilbert of Fort Morgan, and Emily Avalos of West Palm Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Amber, Giselle, and Chance; and her great granddaughter, Austyn Kate. Hope was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Hernandez; her brother, David Hernandez; her brother-in-law, James Avalso; and her nephews, Jose Hernandez and Stephen Lujan. A Rosary Vigil will be at 7:00 PM on Monday, September 9th at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan on Tuesday, September 10th at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Helena's Catholic Church.
