Obituary

Howard Dennis Schulz, 78, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 24 th at his residence in Snyder. He was born March 16, 1940 in Holdrege, NE to Rev. and Mrs. R.P. Schulz.

The family moved to Fort Morgan in 1955, where Howard attended the Day Center of Eastern Colorado Service for the Developmentally Disabled and he later worked for Downtown Duds in Brush. Howard was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan.

Howard was proceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lawrence Schulz, Armin Schulz; and a nephew, Greg Pope.

He is survived by his two brothers, Merle (Marilyn) Schulz of Sterling, and Rev. Norman (Anne) Schulz of Cantonment, FL; and two sisters, Sandra (Alfred) Pope of Fort Morgan, and Marcia (Lowell) Schachtsiek of Palmyra, MO; six nephews, Karl Schulz, Jeff Schulz, Erik Schulz, Fred Schachtsiek, Chris Schulz, and Frank Schachtsiek; and five nieces, Cynthia Schulz, Stephanie Gigliotti, Kari MacElwee, Rachel Barnes, and Suzy Robin; and his caregivers, Kris and Doyel Focken.

A Funeral service will be Friday January 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. Viewing before service from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Bethesda Lutheran Communities.
