Howard Edward Underwood, 81, lifetime Colorado resident, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Sunset Manor in Brush.   He was born March 15, 1934 in Peru, IL. to Virgil and Annetta Underwood.

Howard served during the Korea War with the Army. He was a volunteer fire fighter with Adams and Morgan County. He was a member of the Elks lodge in Denver. Howard enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter Jeana (John) Spradlin of Fort Morgan; son Howard Underwood Jr. of Brush; two brothers Virgil James Underwood of Fort Morgan; and Donald Franklin Underwood of Federal Heights, CO; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife JoAnne, his parents, sister Billie Jean Wartz, brother Robert Charles Underwood, twin brother Harold L. Underwood, and daughter in-law Tammy Underwood.

A Graveside service will be held at the Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016. Services will conclude there.
