Inez Marie Schwanke, 100, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020, at the North Shore Health & Rehab Center in Loveland, CO.  She was born on the family farm south of Brush on September 17, 1919, to Charles E. & Rosa Anna Herrmann Sr.

In 1923 the Herrmann family moved to Brush.  Inez graduated from Brush High School in 1937.  Inez married Lawrence Schwanke on September 26, 1939.   Inez was an excellent seamstress, cook, farm wife, 4-H Leader, and a wonderful Christian woman.  She is especially remembered by her family as being a very loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  She was a very active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Ann Larsen of Loveland; two grandchildren and their spouses, Terry (Anna) Larsen and Pam (Kerry) Hall; 4 great grandchildren, Reesa & Burke Larsen and Keegan & Zachary Hall; also by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, her parents, her son-in-law, Dale Larsen; her 7 brothers & sisters and their spouses, Charlotte (Alvin) Steffensen, Bertha Schwanke, Betty Herrmann, Charles E. (Evelyn) Herrmann, Henry Herrmann, John (Frieda) Herrmann, and Alberta (Herb) Strauch.

A memorial service will be be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the King of Glory Lutheran Church in Loveland. Inurnment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery on September 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  Inez requested memorial gifts be given to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
