Obituary

Inez Youngblood 90, of Ft. Morgan died Sunday morning at the Bee Hive Assisted Living Center in Ft. Morgan. She was born May 19, 1917 in Estacada, Oregon to Carl and Edith Montgomery. Inez married William Arlys Youngblood January 19, 1939 in Miami, Oklahoma. William died in 1942. She started her teaching career in 1944 with two years of college and completed her Bachelors Degree in 1951. She taught in Baxter Springs, Kansas before moving with her two daughters to Ft. Morgan in 1954 where she started teaching at the new Green Acres School, she retired from teaching in 1979. She was a member of the First Christian Church, and Deborah Group, the Tri T Club, and the Fort Morgan Retired Teachers Association. She served for a time on the Caring Ministries Board of Directors. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and collecting santa figurines. She is survived by her daughters; Phyllis Dykes of Denver, and Amy Ledford of Ft. Morgan. Two brothers Ross Montgomery of Huddleston, VA and Rex Montgomery of Klamath Falls, OR., seven grandchildren; Cindy Rohde of Pine Bluffs, Wy, , Suzanna Dobbins of Wiggins, Dana Smith of Parker, Brian Smith, Bryan Ledford, and Dianna Carneal all of Ft. Morgan, and Andrea Brunz of Columbia Falls, MT. and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William, two sisters, Doris Martin and Reta Conaway, and her parents. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church in Ft. Morgan, the service will conclude at the church.
