Iris Irene Mesmer passed away December 23, 2021, at the age of 75 in Fort Morgan. She was born August 20, 1946 in Burlington, Colorado to Byron and Leah (Chandler) Crites, being one of thirteen children.

She lived in Fort Morgan for half of her life. Iris had many careers in her life; cosmetologist, slot technician, sheriff's deputy, security guard, as well as an owner of various businesses.

Iris was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea, as well her parents and several siblings. She is survived by daughter Toni, sons, Travis and Cooper, and her five grandchildren, Lynnette, Amanda, Justain, Hailey, and Gunner, as well as two great grandchildren, Ari and Mia.

A memorial service will be held at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2 p.m.
