Irma J. Potts 89 lifelong resident of Ft. Morgan, died Friday, July 28, 2006 at the Sunset Manor Care Center in Brush. She was born December 11, 1916 in Ashby, Nebraska to Frederick and Cora (Dearing) King. She married Roscoe "Rocky" Potts on July 31, 1937 in Chadron, Nebraska. They moved to Ft. Morgan in 1956. Irma was an active member of the United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School for over thirty years and was the wedding arranger for the church for several years, she was also superintendent of the Sunday School Program, Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, belonged to Tri-T, Toastmasters, Royal Neighbors, Business and Professional Women's Club, Bayview Club, Republican Women, Friends of the Museum, Friends of the Library and the Fort Morgan Country Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, the piano, and loved to work in her garden and was a member of the Garden Club. Irma is survived by two daughters, Jean and husband Russell Green of Ft. Morgan and Jane and husband Bill Honeywell of Peralta, New Mexico, one brother, Truman King of Texas, five grandchildren, David Pass, Howard Pass, Julie Johnson, Amy Brown and Lance Green, eight great grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rocky who died in 1997, an infant daughter, two brothers, Donald and Forrest Green and one sister, Fern Delaney. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 4, 2006 at 1:30 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
