Irma P. "Paula" Schriner 75, of Orchard Colorado, died peacefully at home on Friday, February 19, 2021.

Paula was born in Jay, Oklahoma, the second youngest child of Joseph Leroy Ward and Frances Marion Kelly in January of 1946.

Paula believed in living a life of service to others and delighted in spending time with family and friends. She was an avid outdoors person and, in her youth, enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and almost anything on horseback. Later, she loved participating in historical reenactment groups and to sit outside and enjoy the sun on temperate days. Paula was a fiercely loyal friend and completely devoted to her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Darryl, who was her sole caregiver throughout her illness, two sons Darryl, Jr (Kristina) of Tampa, FL and Joe (Mary Lynn) of Beulah, Colorado.  Grandsons Bryan (Kalee) of Hinsdale, NH and James of Tampa, FL, and three great grandchildren.  Sisters Vivian Gomez, Celia Davis, and Linda Carter, brother Carl (Betty) Ward of Owasso, OK and sister-in-law Mary Woodcock of Lincoln, NE.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Leah, and a brother.

Viewing will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2021 at The Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan, CO.  A private Interment to follow at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children or Wounded Warriors.
