Irvin "Ivy" Rae Morse, 69, of Fort Morgan, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.

He was born April 27, 1947 in Oakley, KS to Eldon & Edith (Snowden) Morse. He grew up in Oakley and graduated from Oakley High School in 1965. Soon thereafter, Ivy enlisted in the US Navy, serving four years before his honorable discharge.

Ivy worked in the oilfield industry most of his life, most recently as a Consultant. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and doing crossword puzzles. Ivy was also a major history buff.

He is survived by his fiancée, Betty Snelson of Fort Morgan; his brother, Ed Morse and wife, Jacque of Loveland; his sister, Karen Airmet and husband, Bob of Kemmerer, WY; two nieces and two nephews.

Ivy was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Keith Morse.

A memorial service will be Thursday, February 16th at 10:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
