Israel T. Ocanas 75, of Fort Morgan Co. passed away peacefully on Sunday Dec. 28th, 2025 at home in Sun City West with family. He was born August 2nd, 1950 in Nuevo León, Teran, Mexico to the late Elias and Juana (Tovar) Ocanas.

Israel graduated from FMHS in 1969 and received his associates degree from UNC in Greeley Colorado in 1971. Israel worked at VeldKamp flowers, Kaiser Permanent and continued in the Health Care field until his accident. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking gourmet meals, collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia, traveling, and was lifelong Rockies and Bronco fan. Israel's most treasured moments were of his brothers and sisters at family gatherings and reunions with nieces and nephews, where his infectious humor shined brightly. With courageous faith he confronted many of life's challenges head-on. Always trusting in God's provision to carry him through.

He is survived by his siblings Jesse (Sandy) Ocanas, Mary (Rick) Buena, Sylvia (Vic) Rivera, Sally (Gilbert) Gutierrez, and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers Joe Ocanas, Eleazar Ocanas, Joel Ocanas and Daniel Ocanas. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 AM at the Colony Worship Center, 18115 County Road 17.6 Fort Morgan, CO.
