Iva L. Traxler, local resident, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Monday morning at South Platte Care and Rehabilitation Center in Brush, CO.

Mrs. Traxler was born in Akron, Colorado on March 25, 1931 to John R. Pickett and Mabel R. (Nicholson) Pickett.

She married Kenneth H. Traxler in Fort Morgan on October 16, 1954. She was a long-time resident of Fort Morgan and Log Lane Village. Iva worked as a cook for the Fort Morgan Country Club while her children were all still attending school. When they all graduated, she retired. Iva was an avid crafter selling many items she made at local craft sales. She crocheted, quilted, knitted and so much more. She loved camping, garage selling, playing bingo and was a member of the Pentecostal faith.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Terry Alan Traxler, daughter, Mary Kay Brunk, brothers Melvin Pickett, Walter Pickett, John Pickett Jr.

Mrs. Traxler is survived by two sons, Bryan (Vicky) Traxler of Brighton and David (Patty) Traxler of Wheat Ridge, one daughter, Susan (Gil) Priemel of Fort Morgan, one son-in-law, Gene (Mary Kay) Knutson of Warroad, MN, daughter-in-law, Pam (Rodney) Babcock, one sister, Hazel (Lee) Westmoreland and their son, Kevin of Greeley, one brother, Billy (Wanda) Pickett of AR, grandsons, Robert Brunk of Brush, Alan Traxler of Brighton,  Evan (Miranda) Traxler, Kenny (Daniella) Evans, Dustin Evans of ND, Granddaughters, Gina (Sherman) Newport of Brush, Christy Brunk of MN, Shannon Brunk of Brush, Tara Traxler of SD, 9 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 20 ^th at 10 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan with a lunch at 11:30 AM. Thank you cousin Mike, it will be held at Life Fellowship, 17723 Cty Rd 20, Fort Morgan, CO 80701 (Barlow Road, across from Morgan Community College.)
