Obituary

Jack D. Albert, 75, life resident of Morgan County, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland. Jack was injured in a two vehicle crash east of Brush on November 5, 2010, and died of complications of those injuries. He was born November 12, 1935, in Fort Morgan, to Henry & Elsie Albert. Prior to retirement, Jack worked at the Western Sugar Company, formerly Great Western Sugar Company for over 42 years. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1954. He married Shirley Windsheimer on May 29, 1955 in Fort Morgan. He was a member of the Shepherd of the Plains Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan. Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of Hillrose; 5 children, Darryl of Golden, CO, Kevin of Lacrosse, WI, Steve and Brenda both of Brush, and David of Greeley; 2 brothers Tom of Aurora, CO, and Gary of Tampa, FL; 16 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, Ray, Russell and Jeff, and his parents. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 18, 2010, at the Shepherd of the Plains Lutheran Church, 627 Ensign Street in Fort Morgan at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Wednesday from 5 – 7 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Shepherd of the Plains Lutheran Church or to the Charity of the Donor's choice c/o Heer & Dahl Mortuary.
