Jack Steven Frihauf, 87, of Wiggins, Colorado, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Saint Anthony's Hospital in Westminster, Colorado. He was born August 18, 1936 in Wheatland, Wyoming to George Jacob Frihauf and Vera Mae Anderson.

He attended school in Wiggins, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He graduated in 1954. He farmed with his dad and brothers south of Wiggins and served in the Army National Guard for six years. He met his wife, Patricia Westhoff, at a school dance and they were married on May 27,1959 at the Sacred Heart Church in Roggen.

Jack was active in the community, serving on church boards, the Leader Volunteer Fire Department, and on the school board for nine years, as president for seven. He and Pat loved to bowl in league, to square dance, and to travel. His favorite place to travel was Maui, Hawaii. He loved the mountains, and the cabin in Grand Lake, and was an avid fly fisherman. He golfed with his brothers-in-law and son.

In retirement, he loved to watch his many grandchildren in their sports and school activities. He also enjoyed his trips to Blackhawk, his fishing trips to Red Feather Lakes, and playing Farkle with his brothers, Glen and Gary. He also enjoyed Farkle and cards with the regular group at JoAnn's house.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Anita Reiber, his brothers, Robert Frihauf and Louis Frihauf, and great grandson, Gabriel Frihauf.
