Obituary

Jack Heidrick, 82, formerly of Brush, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Jack was born in Beloit, Kansas on August 24, 1927. He moved with his wife and two sons to Brush in the spring of 1969. Jack's biological father passed away when he was six years old. He was raised by his mother, Maxine (Lyon) and step-father, Gerald "Bud" Wright. Jack served his country in the United States Army right after WWII as a Military Policeman. In Brush, Jack worked for Stan Gray as Vice President of the Carroll Oil Company until his retirement in 1991. He also served as an auxiliary member of the United States Coast Guard from 2004 until 2006. Jack greatly enjoyed fishing and boating in his spare time. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Heidrick of Greeley, step-brother, Eldon Wright of Norton , Kansas, two sons, Steven G. Heidrick of Denver and Jack D. Heidrick of Greeley, one granddaughter, Nicole D. Heidrick of Denver, brother-in-law, Deal Bean of Topeka, Kansas and one nephew, Clayton Wright of Norton, Kansas. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Shirley Bean, and one nephew, Ronald Salladay. Per Jack's request, there will not be a memorial service. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts in Jack's name in care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Brush is in charge of the Cremation arrangements.
