October 2, 2006 Jack L. Mayfield 66 lifelong resident of Ft. Morgan, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan. He was born December 8, 1939 in Ft. Morgan to Woodrow and Faye (Payne) Mayfield. Jack was a member of the Morgan Nazarene Church. He drove stock cars at our local track in the early 70"s and enjoyed fishing and skiing at Jackson Lake. Jack drove a delivery truck for North West Transport for several years and got to know a lot of people around town. Survivors include, one son, Dean Leroy Mayfield of Denver, two daughters, Teresa Mayfield of Oklahoma and Joan Mayfield of Aurora, two brothers, Gene Mayfield of Buena Vista, CO and Don Mayfield of Ft. Morgan, two sisters, Phyllis Mayfield of Brush and Linda Weimer of Ft. Morgan, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tim and Gary Mayfield. No funeral services are scheduled at this time.
