Jacob Riley Threlkel, 20, of Fort Morgan, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Jacob was born in Fort Morgan on April 11, 1998 to Paul & Rhonda (Petersen) Threlkel. He attended area schools and graduated in 2017.

Jacob enjoyed drawing, reading, and dancing. He was an avid gamer and he loved listening to music. It brought him joy to be able to bring laughter to others, often with a good joke. Someone once said that Jacob was a kind young soul, as he had a gentleness about him, relating to animals and children very easily.

He is survived by his parents, Paul & Rhonda Threlkel; his sister, Aubrey Horton and her husband, Tyler, along with his nephew, Oliver; and his maternal grandfather, Rodney Petersen and his wife, Kathleen; and his maternal great grandfather, Eugene Petersen, all of Fort Morgan; his maternal grandmother, Debra Snyder and her husband, John Robert Snyder III of Pennsylvania; and his paternal grandmother, Ruby Threlkel of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Norman Threlkel; and his maternal great grandmother, Shirley Petersen.

A memorial service to honor Jacob's life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 16 ^th at the Heer Mortuary Chapel, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan. The service will conclude at the chapel.
