Jake Frihauf, 99, long time Wiggins resident, died early Sunday morning at Valley View Villa Care Center in Ft. Morgan. He was born January 21, 1912 in Wheatland, WY to Phillip and Catherine Frihauf. He married Vera Mae Anderson December 1, 1933 in Wheatland, WY. They farmed in Wheatland until 1947 when they moved south of Wiggins where they farmed for many years. He enjoyed farming, raising cows, playing pinochle, spending time with the neighbors and family, and especially celebrating Christmas and birthdays. He is survived by his children, Louis Frihauf of Ft. Morgan, Jack Frihauf, Robert Frihauf and Glen Frihauf, all of Wiggins, and Gary Frihauf of Byers; 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera; 2 daughters, Kathryn Frihauf and Anita Reiber; 1 great granddaughter, 5 brothers and sisters, John, Hannah, Sarah, Fred and Paul and his parents. A visitation will be held on Wednesday 5-7 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the charity of the donor's choice, in care of the Heer & Dahl Mortuary, 225 E.
