Jake Everett Lopez, 29, former Fort Morgan resident, passed away on October 5, 2020, in Los Angeles, CA as a result of a homicide.  He was born April 10, 1991, in Ventura, CA.

Jake attended for Fort Morgan High School for three years before moved to California.  At the time of his death, Jake worked as a welder.  He enjoyed spending time with people and will be remembered for his uncanny ability to get people to laugh.  He enjoyed being the center of attention.

Survivors include his Mother, Raeann Feather; his Father, Everett Lopez; his wife, Jessica Torres; his 3 sons, Jazik, Jayden, and Jacob; his Grandfather, Richard Feather of PA, his grandmother, Marsha Westoff; his sisters & brothers, Brooke, Dustin, Colton, and Jamie; and several other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Mickie Feather.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November12, at 11:00 AM at the Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan.  The service will conclude at the church.

Given the current public health guidelines, social distancing will be expected.   Those attending are encouraged to wear whatever personal protective equipment they are most comfortable wearing.
