James Forrest Barnett , 68, was born June 27, 1952, in Wray, CO to John & Rhea Barnett.  He was the third child of seven and spent his early years being carried around, read to, and played by his two sisters, Patty and Katie – He was our real live baby doll!

First grade found him in the classroom of our soon to be Aunt Florence in Wray, CO, and he mad many friends as he moved up through the grades.  He wrestled, played basketball, and hung out fishing with his buddies and his dog.  Jim graduated from Brush High School where he had moved to live with his Father.

Following graduation, Jim joined the US Army and served in Germany.  Following his honorable discharge, Jim returned to Colorado to work on a farm.  Unfortunately, severe allergies and farming didn't mix well.  A moved to Missouri to visit an Army buddy landed him a job building furniture which paved the way to a career in construction, which he enjoyed into retirement.  Jim had lived and worked in Morgan County for over 20 years prior to his passing.

Jim was married for a short time and had two children, Daniel and Anne.

At Jim's request, no formal service will be held.  His cremated remains will be placed with his family in the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, CO.
