James (Jim) Edwards, 78, of Fort Morgan passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 21 ^st at Valley View Villa.

He was born on March 10, 1942 in Fort Morgan to Vic Edwards, Jr.  & Fern Johnson. He had been a resident of Fort Morgan all his life.

Jim was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He loved hunting, fishing and sporting events up until his health prevented him from enjoying these things. When he retired, he enjoyed spending the summers at their retirement home at Seven Pines in the mountains.

Jim was a Volunteer Firefighter with the Fort Morgan Fire Dept for 23 years.  He worked at Edwards Right Price Market, DM Insulating and Sigmans Meat Packing Plant up until they closed.  Jim also served as a Director on the Chamber of Commerce representing Edwards Right Price Market/Edwards Flowerland.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon of 58 years.  One daughter, Tammy Dahl of Greeley and one son Brian (Lynda) Edwards of Fort Morgan. One brother Ron (Vicki) Edwards of Fort Morgan and one sister Sandra Bluhm of Denver. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Brad Dahl, Krysta (Shawn) Goebel and Carrie (Chris)Reilly. Two great grandchildren, Adleigh Goebel and Brayson Goebel. Two nieces Angie Aker (Richard) and family, Andrea Kammer (Marcus) and family. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Vic Edwards, Jr and Fern Johnson.

Jim was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as an Elder. The memorial services for Jim will be held Tuesday, December 29 ^th at 10:00 AM, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Sherman Street in Fort Morgan with Rev. Dean Boernke officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.

Attendees are encouraged to wear whatever personal protective equipment they are most comfortable wearing.

Memorials may be made in Jim's name to Trinity Lutheran Church or The Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Dept.
