James P. Keatley, 87, passed away suddenly at his home near Snyder on Monday, January 12, 2015. He was born August 18, 1927, in Roda, VA. To James & Frances Keatley. Jim served in the US Army Air Corp from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1947. Following his discharge Jim attended, and graduated from college. He taught school for 2 years in Ohio and then came to Brush in 1954 where he was a science teacher at the Brush Junior High. He taught in Brush for 33 years, retiring in 1987. Jim married Marilyn Kerr on March 15, 1971, in Brush. Following an accident that severely injured Marilyn, Jim dedicated his life taking care of her. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn. He was preceded in death by his sister and his parents. AT Jim's request, no service will be held. Cremation arrangements were handled by the Heer Mortuary.
