James Michael Kelly, born October 24, 1982, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

James leaves behind, his son, Marine Cpl Aaron Kelly; his parents, William "Bill" & Cheryl Kelly; his sister, Rachael (Justin) Black; and his nephews, Brayden and Seth. He is also survived by his grandmas, Melissa Kelly and Dorene Snow, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. James also leaves behind his girlfriend, Lexi Graff, and her two children.

He was preceded in death by grandpa, Henry "Hank" Snow, and his cousins, Brandon Snow and Caleb Liashenko.

James was born and raised in Tulare, California and moved to Colorado nine years ago to be near his parents and sister. In high school he played soccer and baseball. He also played Club Soccer, which his dad coached.

He enjoyed watching sports, especially soccer. He especially loved fishing with his son and dad. Spending time with his family and friends was one of his favorite things to do. He always brought fun wherever he went. People were drawn to his winning personality; once you met James, you were a friend for life.

James will always be loved, and he will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be Friday, March 1st from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary- Brush Chapel, 222 Cameron Street in Brush.

A graveside service will at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 2nd in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.

A reception will follow the service at the Queen Lounge, 112 W. Kiowa Ave. in Fort Morgan.
