James Leo Olsen III, 40, of Wiggins, Colorado passed Monday March 19, 2018 at his parent's home in Wiggins after a valiant battle with brain cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Kopetzky Olsen with sons Devon and Dillon Harshman of Wiggins, grandmother Lois Olsen and parents Dee and Jim Olsen also of Wiggins, his aunt and uncles Gary and Sharon Gergen of Lakewood, Co, George and Sharon Condrat of Salt Lake City, Utah, Don and Barbara Johnson of Wiggins, Ann Olsen of Wiggins, Twyla Hoffman of Fort Morgan and brothers Josh Olsen and Steve Buxman of Wiggins and Daniel Buxman of Julesburg, Co.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents James Leo Olsen of Wiggins and Lloyd and Mary Gergen of Fort Morgan, Co.

James was born to Dee and Jim Olsen June 24, 1977 in Wheatridge, Co. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1995.  James was all conference football in high school and state runner up in high school basketball.  He attended the University of Northern Colorado. He was a Life member of the ATA and the NRA.  James married the love of his life, Elizabeth Kopetzky on July 7, 2007 and was a wonderful stepfather to sons Devon and Dillon Harshman.

There will be a service at the Hoyt, Colorado Cemetery at 11am Saturday March 24, 2018 with an informal celebration of James' life beginning at 1pm at the home of Bob and Carol Kopetzky (Bob's party garage) 315 Curry Street in Wiggins, Co.
