James H. Roberts, 60, lifelong Wiggins resident, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Ft. Morgan. James was born August 8, 1949 in Ft. Morgan to Clyde "Stub" and Josephine (Adams) Roberts. He attended Wiggins schools and graduated from Wiggins High School with the class of 1968. After high school he attended Western Nebraska Vocational Technical School in Sidney, NE. James worked for Hamlin Electric for a number of years before taking over the operation of Stub's Oil and Gas in Wiggins. James was a member of the Elks Club in Ft. Morgan and enjoyed watching the Broncos, playing golf, traveling and getting together with his friends. Survivors include, his mother, Josephine Roberts of Wiggins, two sisters, Janet Roberts of Wiggins and Judy Roberts and her husband Durwood Darbin all of Wiggins, one brother, Jerry Roberts and his wife Dianne of Sahuarita, Arizona, his good friend Marilyn Baker of Ft. Morgan, one nephew, Steven Klecka of Wiggins, two nieces, Artie Elias and Gayle Roberts both of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his father Stub Roberts and one brother, John Roberts. A Celebration of James' Life will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Elaine's Place, formerly the Ft. Morgan Country Club. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Ft. Morgan Humane Society at 900 E. Railroad Ave., Ft. Morgan, CO. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary and Crematory in Fort Morgan is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
