JAMES GREGORY ROWELL, 57, of Fort Morgan, died unexpectedly Friday, January 19, 2007. He was born Sept. 2, 1949 in Midland, Michigan to John & Eloise (Sampson) Rowell. Mr. Rowell moved to the Fort Morgan area from Grand Haven, Michigan. He was the Director of Human Resources at Leprino Foods in Fort Morgan for 12 years before working at Morgan Community College for nearly 2 years where he was the Director of the Trio Project. Mr. Rowell was then forced to retire due to health complications. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. He enjoyed music and especially liked playing the guitar and violin. He also sang in the church choir. Rowell was also an avid writer. Survivors include his four children; Joshua David Rowell and Maxine Megan Montel, both of Fort Morgan, Jason Lee Miner of Brush and Heidi Nicole Rowell of Houghton, Michigan; 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 3 grandchildren. Mr. Rowell was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be Thursday, Jan. 25th at 4:00 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the chapel. There has been cremation. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts in James' name to the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan.
