Obituary

James Allen Wacker, 69, lifelong area resident, died, Friday, March 6, 2015 in Louisville. Jim was born August 21, 1945 in Denver to Wendel and Marion Wacker. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School and then Morgan County College with a degree in Auto Body Repair. Jim served his country for two tours in the Air Force. One tour was in Puerto Rico and one in Viet Nam, after which he was honorably discharged in 1971. Jim collected and restored classic cars, was an avid Broncos fan, and enjoyed life and his friends. He worked for the Clatworthy Company in Fort Morgan in the auto body shop until he became disabled when he fell off a roof helping his brother in California. Jim was married to Sandra Green to which a daughter, Wendi Land was born. He is survived by three grandchildren, Brandon Kailyn and Justin, three great grandchildren Ryder, Hartley and Kennedy, all who live in Tucson, Arizona, one sister, Kathy Worden of Longmont, three nieces, Jennifer Ingvaldsen, Tammy Gutherie, and Shelly Dent, all of Longmont. Jim was preceded in death by his brother John Wacker, and his parents. There will be a visitation at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Interment will follow at 11:00 am in Memory Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
