Jana Rae Schippert

Jana Rae Schippert was born June 11, 1959, in Brush, CO, and passed away at the age of 67 on October 20, 2026. She was the daughter of Eugene and Shirley Gardner.

Jana attended school in Brush and graduated from Brush High School in 1977. This is where she met the love of her life, Randy Walter Schippert. Jana and Randy were married July 11, 1992, in Brush where they shared their married life until her passing.

In her younger years, Jana enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading. She worked in the dining and kitchen area at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center for 19 years. Cooking and baking were always favorites of hers, she therefore cherished entertaining her family and friends at her home on special occasions, particularly the 4th of July. She loved children and did daycare in her home for many years.

Jana loved to travel. She treasured her days spent with Randy vacationing in South Dakota and Minnesota, especially. She enjoyed spending time with her two sisters shopping, laughing, visiting relatives, and sharing memories.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents Eugene and Shirley Gardner, brother Randall Eugene Gardner, brother-in-law Bill Eskew, and father and mother-in-law Walter and Luella Schippert.

Jana is survived by her husband of 34 years, Randy Schippert, sisters Karen Eskew, Nancy Hosier and husband Michael, sister-in-law Kathy Barnhill and husband Ron, and several nieces and nephews.

Jana was and will always be deeply loved and will be missed more than words could possibly express.
