Janet Elaine (Roth) Baker passed away January 1, 2021 at Sterling Regional Med Center, Sterling Colorado.

Janet was born January 29, 1937 to Sylvester and Rachel (Amen) Roth in Sterling, Colorado.

Janet grew up in the Snyder community on the family farm until the age of 16.  That is when she married Elmer Eugene Baker on October 11 ^th , 1953, while Gene was serving in the United States Airforce.   They lived in many different states and countries, including Germany, California, Texas and Indiana. They were married for 6 years before they were blessed with 4 children.

In 1995 Janet and Elmer moved to Brush, Co where Janet resided until her death.  Janet enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and she also loved to go out to dinner and attending her grandkids activities. She absolutely loved to tell her stories of being a military spouse and how she loved absolutely every bit of her life and lived with no regrets.

Janet is survived by her husband Gene: 4 children, Anthony Baker of Commerce City, Co, Michael Baker (Marlo) of Washington State, Rhonda Baker of Brush, and Karen Morgan of Brush. 2 sister Marlene Riechers (Jerry) of Northglenn, CO and Sharon Korthius (Jerry) of Snyder, CO. 5 grandchildren, Randy Baker, Amber Headley (Chace). Janet is preceded in death by her parents.

A private visitation will be held at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Saturday January 9 ^th , 2021. Immediate family only.  Per Janet's request there will be no service.  Let us remember Janet, by playing her favorite song "Spirit in The Sky" at 12:00 pm on Saturday wherever you are.
