Janet Arleen Green, 88, passed peacefully at home after a long battle with Parkinson's disease on February 28th. Jan was born February 15, 1936, in Fort Morgan to Adam and Ann Schreiner. She attended Fort Morgan High School. She married Jim F Green Jr. on August 12, 1956.

She attended Colorado State College of Education in Greeley, worked for Golden Credit Bureau in Golden, and Fireman's Fund Insurance in Denver. She was a Homemaker for 15 years and employed at Colorado State Forest Service August 1, 1975 retiring August 1, 1996.

She and Jim were members of Good Sams Club and traveled to many fun places with their group.

Actively involved in PTA Organization, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of

America, Campfire Board member, Church Choir, Community Concert Captain, sang with "Glory Bees", Precinct Committee person for Republican Women, Hospital Fund Raising Committee, taught Bible school at Christ Congregational Church, Member of Morgan County Arts Council, Friends of the Museum and Friends of the library. Volunteer member of Hospice Morgan County, Site Coordinator for Morgan County 9 Health Far, Life Master in ACBL Bridge Association, belonged to Ft. Morgan Women's Golf Association, member of Dancersizers County Line dancing.

Long-time member of Christ Congregational Church.

Survived by her children Melanie (Daryl) Kindvall, Atwood, James (Kate) Green, Fort Morgan and

Geri Bibeau, Strasburg, 5 grandchildren, Darren (Chelsy) Green, Khara (Travis) Davidson, Anna Kindvall (Brad Tornow), Aaron Bibeau and Justin Bibeau. 7 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Jan was preceded in death by her husband Jim, grandson Douglas Green and son-in-law Charles Bibeau.

A celebration of Life will be held at Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign Street on April 6th at 11:00AM with a meal to follow. Memorials may be sent to the Christ Congregational Church or The Fort Morgan Heritage Foundation.
