Janet L. Trimbach, 92, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the inpatient hospice unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born March 27, 1918, in Dayton, OH, to Jerome & Wilhemina Mumma. The Trimbach family moved to Morgan County in 1965. As a child, Janet made many short films, making commercial clips for food and soap for Monarch films. She graduated from Butler High School in Dayton, OH, where she was as a cheerleader. In 1938, Janet married William John "Bill Trimbach. Janet & Bill worked together in all of their businesses which included a family meat packing business, a meat market, restaurant, and a farm. She enjoyed singing and could play just about any musical instrument. Janet was a very talented artist and enjoyed painting, working with and teaching ceramics classes at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. She won many ribbons for her artwork displayed at county fairs and art exhibits. She also enjoyed collecting antiques. While living in Ohio, the Trimbach's lived in an old inn that had 13 rooms. She decorated all of the rooms with antiques. The house had a marble fireplace and was quite spectacular. Janet also enjoyed caring for orphaned or crippled animals, including lambs, pigs, and ducks. After moving to Colorado, Janet worked as bookkeeper for the late Ted Rediess in his grocery store and at the Brush Livestock Sale Barn. Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Brush; 6 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, William Edward Trimbach and Daniel Trimbach; 1 brother, Jerome; 1 sister, Marianna; 1 grandson, 3 great grandchildren and her parents. A private family memorial service will be held. The Heer & Dahl Mortuaries were entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
